Third Place Award for Dr. Deniz Şarlak’s Oral Presentation

Dr. Deniz Şarlak, a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at our university, participated with an oral presentation in the 49th International Congress of Group Psychotherapies with International Participation, held at Asklepion in Bergama, İzmir, from May 20–23, 2026.

Dr. Şarlak’s study, titled “The Effect of a Psychodrama-Based Group Intervention on Health Anxiety: The Role of Intolerance of Uncertainty and Group Cohesion,” was awarded Third Place in the Oral Presentation category following the scientific evaluation conducted as part of the congress.

The study examined the effect of a psychodrama-based group intervention on health anxiety and investigated the roles of intolerance of uncertainty and group cohesion throughout the intervention process.
