Lisans Programının Amacı
Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering is concerned with the engineering work required for the discovery, production and transport of energy resources such as oil, natural gas and geothermal. Technically, it happens naturally or later in every process related to the removal of energy resources located underground. A petroleum and natural gas engineer working in a field should be aware of the cultural, political and legal concepts required by the field, as well as the information required by engineering, in the field. The fast developing oil and natural gas industry is in the fields of drilling, well completion, well testing, production techniques, improved petroleum extraction methods, reservoir modeling, fluid phase behavior, thermodynamics, multiphase flow, well logging and analysis, underground natural gas storage, There is a constant need for well-trained oil and gas engineers. The professional business areas of oil and natural gas engineers have a wide spectrum ranging from numerical modeling of fluid flow in permeable environments to drilling in the seas. The task of the Department of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering is to provide students with basic and engineering knowledge in oil, natural gas and geothermal energy. In addition, it aims to educate innovative and entrepreneurial engineers and researchers who research underground energy sources for the benefit of mankind and solve their problems with an engineering perspective, respectful to the environment and ethical values, interdisciplinary studies.
